Duty of Candour
The 2014 agreement by The General Optical Council obliges all Optometrists to commit to the duty of candour expectations of all healthcare providers.
To fulfill our duty of candour responsibilities, we complete an annual report which describes any unintended or unexpected incidents that occur within our practice each year.
Our Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians undergo continual further training, to ensure that we provide high quality eye care for all of our patients.
Duty of Candour Responsibilities: Our registstered Dispensing Opticians and Optometrists will be open and transparent if things go wrong. They follow the GOC and local guidelines to ensure that any event is handled correctly.
As a business, we submit details of any NHS related complaints to the local health board each quarter.
